Matilda's Masked Ball Gown

Around Easter A Girl for All Time had a coupon code, so I felt like it would be a good time to get a couple of things. I got Amelia her party dress (to be featured in a future post) and Matilda her ball gown! It's my very favorite!

It comes with the dress, dancing slippers and a mask!

I really like the mask! It's covered in a velvety green material on both sides and is trimmed with a fancy cord. Like her hood it has a gold elastic strip attached to help it stay on her face!

I love the mask on her! I think it makes her eyes look very mysterious.


Just like her meet outfit the dress comprised of two pieces! It's made of a very pretty iridescent green fabric with a stiffer white fabric as part of the neckline, sleeves and skirt.

The top:

The top is embellished with lilac velvet ribbons and pearls.

Here are the sleeves:

 The sleeves also have a gold trimmed white ribbon with the velvet one!

And the bottom:

The front panels of the skirt open to reveal an attached, stiff white underskirt.

This is what gives the skirt it's nice shape!

It also comes with matching dancing slippers trimmed in what looks to be the same ribbon from her meet slippers.

In fact they are they are just the same slippers in a different fabric. Something that slightly disappointed me? The rest of the outfit is so gorgeous and so different from her meet outfit that the shoes just feel like a bit of a let down, or maybe an after thought. Still there are very pretty!

Overall I'm really happy with this dress. The mask and all the detail on the top and the beautiful fabric outweighs the disappointment of the shoes I think Matilda looks absolutely stunning in it!
