It's a Lissie update! (Plus a few other things)

Hey everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I had a pretty good one! Today we are just going to do a little update post. Here we go!

Last time we saw Lissie she was hanging out under a lamp looking a bit like this:

After a few days (With me watching carefully to make sure she didn't get too hot. That lamp was not on the whole time.) I checked her spots and as far as I can tell they are gone!

Here they were before hand:
And here is the same cheek today:
I can't find them anymore at least. Can you?

With that done I decided to finish her up! She got her new wig glued on and some new face paint. And now you all get to see a before and after! Ready:

Here is Lissie the day we started working on her:

And here she is today:
I actually didn't use paint on her. Instead I used a lip stain that I randomly have. I think her cheeks look good but I might go back and add a bit more color to her lips.  Otherwise she is done and will be on her way back home by the end of the week. I hope! I have a whole bunch of other stuff to send with her so that might take me a couple of days to get together. But I'm sure once she arrives home she'll get a welcome home post over at A Wild Review Appears!

In other news my Mia Wren took a trip to the doll hospital! I couldn't get that scuff off her nose to my satisfaction so I just decided to send her in. The turn around time is about 3 weeks at the moment so she will probably be back around the first week of March. Hopefully my husband gets her off the porch for me because I will be in Georgia hanging out with my mom and my aunt! Don't worry, I'll leave him reminders ;) There will be a blog post that week though! It's going to be worked on here shortly.

Oh! I do have one more exciting bit of news. After my Surf's Up Batman post I went back to Walmart and found that they had restocked! I got:
Catwoman!! Look for a post all about her soon!

I hope you guys enjoyed this update on Lissie. It's not the most complicated project I've ever done but I'm pretty happy with out she turned out. She can stand easily on her own now, she's all squeaky clean and she's got fab new hair! I just hope her person is pleased. Till next time!

  3. Nice work on the restoration - that new wig is gorgeous!

And that surfing Batman was the most awesomely random figure, so I'm thrilled to see that you have the Catwoman too - can't wait to see your photos of her!

    1. Thank you! Traci did a good job picking the wig out. I think she still looks like Lissie!

Oh Catwoman is gorgeous! I'm hopefully going to have the post on her up this weekend. I pretty much squealed when I found her! I really want the regular Batman and a Robin now. SO bad!

  5. Was the wig about the same quality as AGs? I've heard it is, and we are looking at the curly one of this for our Ana Rubin custom.

    1. I think they are! I've used several wigs from Ruby Red Galleria and I've always thought they were high quality. Marta's I've had for several years and it's help up just as well.

Another place you can check out is Monique Trading Corporation. I've used their wigs too and like them!
