Meet Laura

Laura arrived at my friend's house today and she loves her!! So I can show her off to you guys! Aka this post is mostly just a Laura pic spam!

(To see Laura's journey from a torn up Elizabeth till now you can go here Part one, and here Part two. )

Are you ready?

What do you think?

Here she is in her box all ready to go! I shipped her Monday and yes I did put her name one the box! I'm kind of a dork.

Here is a before and after:

And here are both the girls before and after:
I think Caroline is going to miss her!

And that concludes this round of custom dolls! I'm not sure what's next but I am taking pictures and updating my AG Dolls page pretty frequently so keep an eye on that. I'll also probably do a few posts about the outfits and other dolls I have and of course my ongoing Molly saga! I'll keep you posted on that! I have another doll coming sometime soon. She'll be on my Other Dolls page, and her name is Grace, but I'm going to wait till she gets here to tell you about her. I am very excited though! Well I think that about wraps this up!

Till next time!

  1. She is beautiful! Thank you so much, I love her :)

    1. You're welcome! I'm glad you're happy!

  2. She is soooooo beautiful!!!
I really admire you for doing custom dolls
    reading this blog is amazing
I only own one AG doll and she's pretty new so I think that maybe I could contemplate saving up to get some more or even try customising ??!!! (EEK!!)
where do you normally get your second hand dolls?

    1. Thank you for all the compliments! Laura is probably my favorite custom doll so far. I always love hearing that people enjoy this blog!

To answer your question: I get all my second hand dolls from eBay. I'm pretty selective about which dolls I get. I look for ones that are in need of some serious tlc but still have good eyes and eyelashes as those are hard to replace. Limbs are pretty easy to get and replace so I generally don't mind dolls that have been chewed on. I don't pay anymore than $40 but even that is pushing it for me. A great resource for you (and where I learned most of my customizing and restoration techniques) is stephenwodadancer's youtube channel here She makes amazing tutorial videos! I'll be doing more custom dolls after Christmas so make sure to check those out!

  3. She reminds me of Laura Benanti! :) She's very pretty.

    1. Thank you! She does look like Laura Benanti! Laura is possibly my favorite custom doll so far.
